One of the many current innovations of SCHUCO in 1/87 scale is the metal model of the AIRBUS H145M KSK helicopter in the classic gray color of the German Air Force LUFTWAFFE. We found a lot of visual documentation on the AIRBUS website, which we used to compare the SCHUCO model. There is no doubt that the manufacturer perfectly estimated every detail and reaffirmed its precision and accuracy in the design of its models. The original design of the twin-engine light helicopter EUROCOPTER EC145 (AIRBUS) took off in 1999. Above all, it was to appeal to large groups of customers with its versatility, but its purposeful versatility did not escape the view of the army. She assumed to deploy the helicopter as air support and transport of special forces. The German army under the name KSK operates these machines designed for special forces Kommando Spezialkräfte, from which is derived the abbreviation KSK.
Jednou z mnohých aktuálnych noviniek SCHUCO v mierke 1/87 je i kovový model vrtuľníku AIRBUS H145M KSK v klasickej šedej farbe nemeckých leteckých síl LUFTWAFFE. Na stránkach AIRBUS sme našli množstvo obrazovej dokumentácie ktorú sme použili k porovnaniu modelu SCHUCO. Niet pochýb o tom, že výrobca dokonale odhadol každý detail a opäť potvrdil svoju precíznosť a presnosť pri návrhoch svojich modelov. Pôvodný návrh dvojmotorového ľahkého vrtuľníku EUROCOPTER EC145 (AIRBUS) vzlietol v roku 1999. Mal predovšetkým svojou všestrannosťou osloviť veľké skupiny zákazníkov, no jeho účelnej všestrannosti neušla pohľadu armády. Tá predpokladala nasadiť vrtuľník ako vzdušnú podporu i prepravu špeciálnych jednotiek. Nemecká armáda pod označením KSK prevádzkuje tieto stroje určené pre špeciálne sily Kommando Spezialkräfte, z toho je odvodená skratka KSK.
The first impression of the model right after unpacking was amazing. Most of the model is made of metal. The blades of the main propeller as well as the auxiliary rear propeller are made of plastic. Both propellers are of course movable. Also the cockpit glazing and the interior, including the chassis skis, is made of plastic. However, we must point out that we did not find any imperfect processing on any of the plastic parts. For which SCHUCO received a high rating again.
Prví dojem z modelu hneď po vybalení bol úžasný. Prevažná časť modelu je vyrobená z kovu. Listy hlavnej vrtule ale i pomocnej zadnej vrtule sú vyrobené z plastu. Obe vrtule sú samozrejme pohyblivé. Taktiež presklenie kokpitu a interiér vrátane podvozkových lyží je vyrobený z plastu. Čo však musíme upozorniť, ani na jednom plastovom diely sme nenašli žiadne nedokonalé opracovanie. Za čo si SCHUCO získalo u nás opäť vysoké hodnotenie.
In the hand, the model acts small but firmly on its large weight. The first thing we were most interested in on the helicopter were the significant parts of the body. The manufacturer really let the exact design of the model according to the real model matter. Of course, everything is hidden under a precisely applied varnish. We did not notice any defects or overcoating of the paint anywhere. Small plastic parts have a well-estimated shade of color so as not to disturb the overall design of the model.
V ruke model pôsobí na svoju veľkú váhu drobno, ale pevne. Prvé čo nás na vrtuľníku najviac zaujalo boli výrazne časti karosérie. Výrobca si naozaj nechal záležať na presnom stvárnení modelu podľa reálnej predlohy. Všetko je samozrejme ukryté pod precízne naneseným lakom. Nikde sme nezaznamenali žiadne defekty alebo prevrstvenie laku. Drobné plastové diely majú dobre odhadnutý odtieň farby, aby nenarúšali celkový návrh modelu.
The blades of the main rotor are foldable, but the crank system can be placed in the optimal position in which they are held. The effect of the magnifying glass hindered us a bit on the side glazing of the cabin. Fortunately, the front glazing is smooth and does not distort the view of the cabin interior in black. Here, above all, everyone will notice the precision of the depicted fine details of the cabin and around it, which are rarely seen on 1/87 scale models.
Listy hlavného rotora sú skladacie, ale systémom klik sa dajú usadiť do optimálnej polohy v ktorej držia. Trošku nám na bočnom presklení kabíny prekážal efekt zväčšovacieho skla. Našťastie predné presklenie je hladké a neskresľuje pohľad na interiér kabíny v čiernej farbe. Tu si predovšetkým každý povšimne precíznosť vyobrazených jemných detailov kabíny i okolo nej, ktoré sa na modeloch v mierke 1/87 vidia málokedy.
The pleasant feeling from the whole helicopter model left us a little disappointed that these models are no longer in such perfect processing as SCHUCO provided. We would also welcome a similar model to appear here and there in 1/64 scale, for example in RED BULL colors. In every respect for 1/87 scale miniature collectors, the model is the perfect diversification of the collection and the revival of dioramas.
Príjemný pocit z celého modelu vrtuľníku v nás zanechal troška malé sklamanie, že týchto modelov nie je viac v tak dokonalom spracovaní ako poskytlo SCHUCO. Taktiež by sme uvítali ak by sa aj v mierke 1/64 sem tam objavil podobný model napríklad vo farbách RED BULL. V každom ohľade pre zberateľov miniatúr v mierke 1/87 je model dokonalým spestrením zbierky a oživením diorámy.
