Not only in shape but also in history, this car is interesting, which is represented by a new model from SOLIDO in 1/18 scale. In the post-war period, the PORSCHE brand was from the very beginning focused on overcoming competition not only on the road, but also on racing circuits. Strong engineering potential was the basis for this success. The PORSCHE 936, which we imagine today, was established in 1976 as a successor to the PORSCHE 917. Its purpose was very simple. Dominate on racing circuits around the world and especially in LE MANS. He finally succeeded in 1976, 1977 and 1981. This brings us to historical interest. Behind the wheel of the PORSCHE 936 sat the legendary driver Jacky Ickx, whom we have already imagined in an article about the MERCEDES 280 GE models (1/43, NOREV). He is a really successful racer with many championships in the 24H LE MANS, F1 and also DAKAR races. As already mentioned, the basis of the racing special was the PORSCHE 917. The engine was powered by a 2140 cc engine with an output of 540 hp (403 kW). The PORSCHE 936 reached speeds in excess of 350 km / h.
Nielen tvarom ale i históriou je toto auto zaujímavé, ktoré stvárňuje nový model od SOLIDO v mierke 1/18. Značka PORSCHE bola v povojnovom období od počiatku orientovaná na prekonávanie konkurencie nielen na cestách, ale i na závodných okruhoch. Silný inžiniersky potenciál bol základom, aby sa tento úspech podaril. PORSCHE 936, ktoré si dnes predstavíme vzniklo v roku 1976 ako nástupca PORSCHE 917. Jeho účel bol veľmi jednoduchý. Dominovať na závodných okruhoch po celom svete a predovšetkým v LE MANS. To sa mu napokon podarilo v rokoch 1976, 1977 a 1981. Tým sa dostávame k historickej zaujímavosti. Za volantom PORSCHE 936 sedel legendárny jazdec Jacky Ickx, ktorého sme si už predstavili v článku o modely MERCEDES 280 GE (1/43, NOREV). Ide o naozaj úspešného pretekára s množstvom prvenstiev v pretekoch 24H LE MANS, F1 a tiež i DAKAR. Ako už bolo spomenuté, základom závodného špeciálu bolo PORSCHE 917. K pohonu slúžil motor s objemom 2140 ccm dosahujúci výkon 540 koní (403 kW). PORSCHE 936 dosahovala rýchlosť prekračujúcu hodnotu 350 km/h.
The PORSCHE model, which SOLIDO offers us in 1/18 scale, is full of details, which is probably a fact that makes this model one of the best works from the mentioned brand. This is also helped by the open cockpit with many well-designed details. The lines of the car are precisely designed. We did not find any significant or any deviations from the real model. We would also consider painting to be perfect except for small places with dirt under the paint. Fortunately, there are only isolated places on the models, especially in the folds of the body. The exterior of the car is complemented by perfect graphics and logos of sponsors. The MARTINI coat will always be impressive. We did not notice any errors or defects in this graphic anywhere.
Model PORSCHE, ktoré nám SOLIDO ponúka v mierke 1/18 je prešpikované detailmi, to je asi fakt, ktorý robí z tohto modelu jednu z najlepších prác od spomínanej značky. Tomu napomáha i otvorený kokpit s množstvom dobre navrhnutých detailov. Línie vozu sú presne navrhnuté. Nenašli sme žiadne výrazne či akékoľvek odchýlky od reálnej predlohy. Taktiež lakovanie by sme považovali za dokonalé až na drobné miesta s nečistotami pod lakom. Našťastie sa na modely vyskytujú len ojedinelé miesta, predovšetkým v záhyboch karosérie. Zovňajšok automobilu dopĺňa dokonalá grafika a loga sponzorov. Kabát MARTINI bude vždy pôsobivý. Nikde sme nezaznamenali chyby alebo defekty na tejto grafike.
Plastic details and inserts are included in the models in really large numbers. Starting with the front grille, which is dominated by a pair of sophisticated headlights, through the cockpit itself with two seats to the rear pressure wing, they complete the model to perfection. But the biggest surprises await you at the very bottom of the model. The manufacturer really surprised us with the number of details in the lower part of the model, where, in addition to the reinforcements and the body frame, he also perfectly designed the parts of the engine, exhaust line, etc.
Plastové detaily a vkladané diely sú na modely obsiahnuté naozaj vo veľkom počte. Počnúc prednou maskou, ktorej dominuje dvojica prepracovaných reflektorov cez samotný kokpit s dvomi sedačkami až po zadné prítlačné krídlo dokresľujú model k dokonalosti. No najväčšie prekvapenia vás čaká na samotnom spodku modelu. Výrobca nás naozaj prekvapil množstvom detailov v spodnej časti modelu, kde okrem výstuží a rámu karosérie dokonale navrhol i časti motoru, výfukového vedenia a pod.
There is not much missing from the precision of the model’s processing, but we will also mention the tires themselves with a smooth tread and perfectly designed aluminum discs with distinctive and accurate graphics. The effect was disturbed a bit by the track in the middle of the tires, which remained after casting from the mold around the entire circumference. We also found minor flaws in the whole model in the form of a poorly machined plastic part. In every respect, however, we consider the PORSCHE 936 to be the perfect addition to your collections. Our MARTINI is already in the box and dominates the collection. Believe that the impression of the model will be perfect and strong for you as well.
K precíznosti spracovania modelu už nechýba veľa, ale spomenieme ešte samotné pneumatiky s hladkým dezénom a dokonale navrhnutými hliníkovými diskami s výraznou a presnou grafikou. Troška nám efekt narušila stopa stredom pneumatík, ktorá ostala po odliati z formy po celom obvode. Taktiež sme na celom modely nachádzali drobné chyby v podobe zle opracovaného plastového dielu. V každom ohľade však posudzujeme PORSCHE 936 ako dokonalý prírastok pre vaše zbierky. Naša MARTINI už je v boxe a dominuje zbierke. Verte, že dojem z modelu bude i pre vás dokonalý a silný.
